what are we up to?

In math - We have created towns using geometric shapes to conclude our geometric unit. We are now working on collecting data and inputting the data in diagrams and pictograms for the rest of the year.
Although we have moved on from our number unit, it is still necessary that students practice additions and subtractions at home. We have been working on 2 digit + 2 digit (sum up to 100) so it's nice to keep that practice up.

+ 14
We have also worked on word problems using the days of the week and month of the year.
We're moving on to measurement using width and length. We will be measuring using different units such as classroom items (pencils, erasers, paper clips) and also measuring mass.
In sciences We are working on small animals that can fly and crawl for the rest of the year. We will be exploring and comparing those small animals.
In French. We have now learned the sounds "ch", "on", "om", "ez", "er", "eau", "ou", "in", "oi" and "ui" and "eu" and "ille", "gl, fl, pl, cl" "ai, ei and et", "z", "tion" and "oeu" "am\em\an\en" "aim\ain" and "ouille".
We are finishing off our poetry unit.
In Social Studies, we are comparing the traditions, mode of transportation, festivals, natural resources and work in Meteghan, Iqaluit and Saskatoon!
In English Language Arts, we are finishing off the year with a short poetry unit.
